Introduction |
Quality Enhancement Cell is one of the initiatives of the Higher Education Commission. HEC has established QEC in 45 Public Sector Universities throughout Pakistan. All of them are working on the guidelines of HEC. We initiate assessment and evaluation of all degree programmes offered by Dow University of Health Sciences. The cell at Dow was established in the second phase in 2007 for enhancing quality of teaching and learning of various programmes of the university. The cell has started functioning successfully and progress has been documented and evaluated.
Dr. M Abdul Wahid Usmani has been appointed to head the cell. He has extensive experience in designing and conducting training programmes for various universities and institutions. He has completed his PhD in Assessment and has conducted several Academic Audit programmes. Keeping in view his successful establishment and running of QEC at Dow, HEC has nominated him to train officials of newly established QECs in public and private universities. He is also invited by different universities to train officials and faculty in establishing quality assurance measures and mechanisms. |
